Don’t miss this opportunity to have your best work exhibited at a milestone event, the 94th Birthday Celebration of the Pacific Art League, which has thrived since 1921! Entry is open to all artists to honor this unique art association.
ELIGIBILITY: Open to all media, except installation. Open to all artists who can hand deliver. Later entries will be notified if galleries are full.
EXHIBITION DATES: September 4th – 24th, 2015 SUBMISSION DEADLINE: Monday, August 24, 2015
OPENING RECEPTION: Grand Celebration First Friday, Sept. 4, 5:30 pm – 8:30 pm. Open to the public! Bring friends & family. Music by Rive Gauche!
AWARDS: 1st: $1000, 2nd: $500, 3rd: $250; People’s Choice $125. 3 Honorable Mentions. Winners will be announced at the First Friday opening reception.
JUDGE: Ric Ambrose. Nationally renowned artist, represented by the Hespe Gallery, San Francisco. Featured in museums, private and public galleries. Executive Director of the Richmond Art Center and former Pacific Art League Executive Director. Ric Ambrose has an MFA and BFA in painting, drawing and art history.
SUBMISSION PROCESS: Electronically: Submit work by August 24th at http ://pacificartleague.submittable.com/submit In Person: Fill out the Anniversary Exhibition form available at the Pacific Art League kiosk in front hall and attach it to a visual image of the work with your donation. Entry sheets will be accepted at the front desk Monday, July 20th – Monday, August 24th during office hours (Monday – Friday, 9:30 am to 5:00 pm) only.
HAND DELIVER ACCEPTED WORK: Friday, August 28th and Saturday, August 29th, 10 am to 4 pm. All work must be hand delivered to the Pacific Art League. No shipped work will be accepted. PICK UP WORK: Friday, September 25th and Saturday, September 26th, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm
DONATION FOR ENTRY AND BENEFICIARIES: Your $100 donation to the Pacific Art League for each piece of art will support the Pacific Art League’s efforts to provide scholarships, new program development and increase our ongoing commitment to support our students, members and the broader community by the expression, appreciation, and enjoyment of the arts. The Pacific Art League is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, public benefit organization contribution is tax deductible to the full extent allowed by law (Tax I.D. 94-6096 394).
CHILDREN’S ART: Works by artists under 18 years old are welcome. Anyone may submit work on behalf of minors with a $100 donation per piece. Please note child’s name and age with submission.
EXHIBITION GUIDELINES:
• All work must be for sale. PAL members receive 70%, non-members receive 60% of sale price.
• Size of work limited to 40” on the longest side including frame. All work must be wired and ready to hang.
• All work must be labeled on front and back with: artist’s name, email, phone number, title of art and price.
• Only original art will be accepted, no giclee prints
• The Pacific Art League reserves the right to choose appropriate art for this exhibition.
