Spectrum Art Gallery is seeking art for their new 2021 exhibit “The Human + Animal Bond”.

We all bond with animals both wild and domesticated. During months of quarantine this bond for many of us kept us sane and hopeful. But even before the pandemic this bond was evident everywhere—in stories, films, books and art. We awake to birds singing. Tell our pets our secrets near the fireplace. Cover our ears at the shrieks of jackals taking down their prey and cover our eyes to not view the unnecessary killing of animals.

Spectrum is calling for art in all mediums including photography that expresses these ideas. Submit early since the gallery can fill quickly. The show opens January 22, 2021, receiving is January 10-14. The gallery store is always looking to expand its relationships with artisans who do not need to follow the gallery show themes, however, seasonal items are encouraged. To submit work for consideration please view submittal information at https://spectrumartgallery.org/artist-submission-form/ and e-mail [email protected]. Please put the title of the show in the subject line when submitting. Thank you.
