We invite artists to submit works that engage the idea of “the vessel”. Throughout the history of ceramic art the vessel has been a creative impetus to explore the vessel as spiritual, functional, controversial, and esoteric.

This exhibition seeks to highlight the captivating and compelling ways contemporary ceramic artists across the U.S. produce vessels today. Both functional and sculptural approaches to the theme are encouraged. Artists may engage other materials so long as the juror identifies that 70% of the work is made from ceramic material.
