Call for Artists
The Viridian Arts Council (formerly the Elements Public Art Council) is announcing its Spring 2024 Call for Artists. We are asking you to submit one or two candidates for our spring addition to the Sculpture Garden at Elements located in Arlington, TX.
Our program has been active since March of 2022. We now have 21 sculptures located throughout the neighborhood, with eleven placed in the Sculpture Garden.
We are looking to add five (5) new sculptures this spring. Our selection committee is focused on finding diverse works of art that invite contemplation and discussion. We want to show variety in medium, style, color, and subject. Representational, abstract and figurative pieces are solicited. Of course, the work must be family-friendly; our visitors range in age.
Those pieces which are accepted will remain on display for 1 year and the artist will receive a stipend of $1,000 in return. Any questions should be forwarded to [email protected].
The deadline for submissions is May 10, 2024. Installations are to be completed by June 1, 2024. We sincerely appreciate your consideration.
