Gallery 550 is an art gallery quite unlike any other. The corporate social responsibility project of digital agency Globe Runner, Gallery 550 provides exhibition space for up-and-coming artists via its office walls.

Shift/Convert: 21st Century Alchemy looks at the essence of alchemy – transformation to an idealized state – as expressed in contemporary art.

All works are eligible to receive the following awards:

• The Gallery 550 Award: The best work as selected by a panel of judges will receive $300
• Fan Favorite: The work with the most shares/likes on Globe Runner’s Facebook page will receive $200
• Best In Show: The work with the most votes by attendees at the formal launch will receive $100

Requirements for Submission:
-Bachelor of Arts degree or equivalent exhibition record
-Personal website or a portfolio with a minimum of eight (8) images, including the proposed piece for exhibition which must come with dimensions. Artwork files may be submitted by sending in the following formats only: JPG, TIFF, PNG. Please do not send original art or any other materials that you expect to have returned.
-Artist resume/biography
-Proposed work for exhibition must be complete and ready for installation on February 27, 2015. No work on spec will be accepted (with the possible exception of installations).
