ARLINGTON 250: The Untold Stories. A Utility Box Project

Our country will be commemorating the United States Semiquincentennial — 250 years since our nation fought for independence. There are many ways to tell these stories. Menotomy — later named Arlington, played a big role in events that shaped our history. The Arlington Commission for Arts and Culture invites artists to submit original designs on the theme “As We Turn 250.”
Consider the issues and people who lived during this revolutionary period. What are the untold stories of these people? As we move forward in time, think about how liberty and freedom changed our country. Use your imagination to create a design that speaks to this complicated idea of liberty and freedom in American history and helps us understand our past and shape our future.
To apply you must be 18+ and have painting experience. There is a stipend of $500 for this project. Contact [email protected] for more information.
