DISTRICT Arts, a contemporary art gallery located on Market Street in historic downtown Frederick, MD, is pleased to present “ORDINARY OBJECTS, EXTRAORDINARY TIMES,” a juried themed exhibition that features works that reflect changes made in the past year and that speak to incredible loss, adversity, despair and, yes, joy, regeneration, gain and the New Normal. Your take on this theme should reflect what the past year has meant to you either personally or in the context of larger society.

“ORDINARY OBJECTS, EXTRAORDINARY TIMES” will be independently juried with the works of approximately 25 artists selected for the exhibition.

The exhibition runs from May 5 to May 30, 2020, during which works by the other gallery artists will remain on display.

All artists residing in the United States are invited to enter the juried exhibition. Any original 2-D work or 3-D work created within the last year is eligible for entry.

We are accepting submissions for jurying until April 12, 2021.

DISTRICT Arts will retain 40% from all sales.
