Are you a talented artist looking to increase awareness and sales opportunities for your work? If so, come join a supportive, engaging, like-minded group of accomplished artists and friends participating in the Shoreline ArtsTrail’s 18th annual Open Studios Weekend on November 16 and 17, 2019. Get exposure, interact with new buyers of all ages, and share your time and talents with art lovers right in your own studio! Approximately 40 member artists who live and work in Branford, Guilford and Madison show and sell their work during this weekend, now a tradition for so many families and followers!

Artists with media such as ceramics and pottery, stained and fused glass, paintings, jewelry, sculpture, weaving, prints, photography, textiles, quilts, paper and wood are invited to apply for this event. Artists will be considered based on their mastery of methods and materials and originality of concept. All considered art must be handmade by the artist.

Says member artist and juror Barbara Shulman-Kirwin, “I love being a member of the SAT for so many reasons. It gives each of us an opportunity to invite the public into our studio space to show them the process of how we create our pieces. This educates the public and makes them appreciate our work that much more. It is also a great way to connect with other neighboring artists and be part of an arts community that supports each other and refers to each other. It is truly a win-win situation for all of us, the artists and the public!”

Among the benefits of becoming a member are: inclusion on the ArtsTrail map and website; statewide publicity via print and online; 13,000 brochures/maps distributed throughout Connecticut; and year-round marketing, networking, and social media opportunities.
