Only in Cali
H.O.T.E.
Entry Deadline: Jul. 19
Calling all artists for a group show investigating the multitudes of roles California has played in the artists’ practice, and exploring its influences and what sets it apart from the rest of the World.
Humans of the Earth: HOTE, an artist-run contemporary gallery, announces a call for entries for its inaugural summer group exhibition Only in Cali.
The submission is open to all artists, local and international with a strong connection to California.
Submit work that is influenced by California, and/or focuses on your relationship with California past or present. What does it represent? How does it differ from the “norm”? Is your work influenced by its nature? beaches? technology? car culture? And in this time of uncertainty, does your art practice question how California is stepping up and what sets it apart? or how it is lagging?
All Mediums are welcome. If you are submitting a proposal/concept for a piece or series, please state the complete details of your proposal, and include any sketches, blueprints, in the description page. Art should be ready to be delivered and hanged one week before the exhibit.
Deadline is Midnight (Pacific time) July 19th, 2017.
