The Virginia Museum of Contemporary Art has a proud tradition of an annual juried exhibition entitled “New Waves.” This exhibition is open to artists living in the Commonwealth of Virginia. This annual tradition features artists who represent the vast array of artistic talent found in Virginia Commonwealth. All media are accepted within our stated rules. This year’s juror is Carmen Hermo, the Associate Curator for the Brooklyn Museum’s Elizabeth A. Sackler Center for Feminist Art.
