Seeking Artists that wish to participate with a live-in residency program in a shared artists space in Akron, Ohio.
Rent a space in a fine art printmaking community to live and gain experience in a growing artist community. All artists must have some experience printmaking experience and be currently active in their printmaking practice (only apply with works completed within the past year). If you are a painting or drawing major please state that you wish to apply to the painting/drawing residency space.

Selected applicants will have a private bedroom and shared bathroom with 24-hour access to the print studio. Our studio is equipped with a letterpress, two etching presses, a designated screen-printing area, inking stations, a clean work-
space area, two washing sinks, and a kitchenette.

This live-in position requires artists to be producing quality artwork while caring or the facilities and supporting RCP’s mission and educational opportunities.

Requirements
Must have a Fine Arts degree and proof of experience in printmaking Must apply & be approved by the Board of Directors
Must complete a background check
Be respectful of other printmakers in a shared space
Be responsible, tidy & well organized

Responsibilities
Practice ethical upkeep of workspace and studio equipment
Checking incoming mail
Assist with show installations

Manage potential commissions with opportunities to gain income and add to your CV.  Instruct classes and workshops with opportunities to build teaching experiences. Contribute to promotional outreach for printmaking commissions & services
Monitor studio/gallery during open studio hours and shows (minimum four hours/week)  Manage observed quiet hours (12 am – 8 am)
