CALL FOR INDIGENOUS ARTISTS OF THE SIX NATIONS & NORTHERN NEW YORK  REGION
FOR SUMMER 2024 EXHIBIT

Tannery Pond Center (www.tannerypond.org) an arts and community center located in North Creek, New York, in the southern

Adirondacks, will host Indigenous Gifts: Tradition, Today and Tomorrow, a series celebrating the culture and traditions of
the Indigenous people of the Adirondacks.

This series will take place in the Summer of 2024 and will include performance, films, workshops and visual arts. As part of the
series, the Widlund Gallery, located in Tannery Pond Center, will host an exhibit of works of Indigenous artists from July 15
through October 6, 2024. This Call for Artists invites artists to participate in the Gallery exhibit as part of this series. This invitation
is open to all artists with ancestry from the Indigenous people of the Six Nations and northern New York Region. Artist may
submit up to three works of art.

Paintings, drawings, photographs, sculptures, jewelry, traditional or contemporary are welcome. A Guest Curator will adjudicate
the submissions together with the Widlund Gallery Committee. The Committee is particularly interested in works which reinterpret traditional materials, styles, and techniques or which reflect cultural meaning for the artist.

Submissions will be accepted until March 15, 2024. All entrants will be notified of acceptance status by May 1, 2024. Additional
information will be given to selected artists at that time.

Number of pieces proposed: ________. Images of pieces should be included in the submission together with a
description and dimensions of the piece. Please, no more than three pieces per submission.

Hi-res images can be submitted through jpegs, png, or USB* [*will not be returned] or 4×6 printed photos. Please include an
image list indicating title, year, medium, dimensions (H x W x D), # of edition if applicable and include retail/insurance value.
