Gallery 25 and Creative Arts Studio is looking for new local artist members to be part of the cooperative gallery or artists that would like to be Featured Artists for one month.    All mediums are accepted:  paintings, photographs, glass, pottery, fine woodworking, and jewelry.  Artwork must be created by the artist and will be juried in based on quality, uniqueness and fit with the gallery.   Thanks to the town of New Milford and the Commission on the Arts, Gallery 25 is located in the historic railroad station in the heart of a vibrant downtown that includes fine restaurants, an Art Deco movie theater and many unique shops.  For more information and an application, visit:  www.gallery25ct.com.

Gallery 25 members each take an active role in the operation of the gallery, including organizing programs and events such as art lectures and art demonstrations, serving on committees such as refreshments or publicity, and hosting during gallery hours.  There is an annual fee and a 20% commission on works sold.

Featured artists exhibit for one month in a specified area.  There is a 40% commission on sold work but no fee to participate.  The month long event is publicized via press releases, social media and the website.

All applicants must submit digital images that represent the type and quality of work they wish to show. If you meet the gallery’s criteria, you will be invited to an in-person portfolio interview.  For more specific information, contact Carolyn Cohen, [email protected].
