Chernovol Art Gallery in The Gate Mall and Qatar Green Building Council (QGBC)

​is delighted to announce the opening of CALL FOR ARTISTS applications for the “FUTURE VISION” – BOTANICAL ART EXHIBITION during Qatar Sustainability Week, 26th October to 2nd November 2019.

In collaboration with QGBC, the art exhibition will be held on Thursday, 17th October at The Gate Mall, West Bay, Doha. QGBC, a member of Qatar Foundation, is a non-profit organization that encourages environmentally sustainable practices for green building design and development in Qatar.

The first of its type in Qatar, the exhibition aims to focus on sustainability in the art/design fields and to promote Professionals artists and artists who have yet to establish a profile on the contemporary international art scene. Applications are open to artists from Qatar and around the world – amateur or professional, +21, with no limit nationality or place of residence, working in botanical art

​The CALL FOR ARTISTS is aimed at artists working in one or more of the following media:

Architecture, interior design, drawing, painting, installation, performance, photography, digital art, sculpture, video, mixed media, decorative art (textiles and material, glass, wood, metal, ceramics, mosaic, paper or other techniques all media responding for subjects

​What is the submission criteria?

Artist +21 age on submissions

Open to amateur and professional artists/architects/fashion designers

All nationalities are eligible

Open to all countries

All artists will receive a certificate

​How to apply?

Application date: 1 June to 20th August 2019

Artists to supply a PDF portfolio, + Photo of artwork,

Artists to provide contact information such as name and surname, nationality, home address, email address, phone number, and a headshot

Artists to provide a description (maximum 200 words) of the artwork including the type of media, artistic influence, message and materials

Submission fee: 100 QR or 25 $ dollars

Deadline for all applications: 20th August 2019

​Note:

Fee 25 dollars, with a maximum number of three works. You can submit directly on the website and you can pay through Stripe or PayPal at [email protected] from the submission your work will be judged by our jurors, that will communicate whether one of the submitted works will be a finalist in the competition or not. The selected Artist should send the artwork ready for fixing before deadline 1.10.2019 All transportation fees to Qatar and back to Artist should be paid by the artist.
