Celebrating its centennial year, the Oak Park Art League (OPAL) proudly announces a national call for art work with Beyond 100:
A National Juried Exhibition. OPAL is looking for work that best demonstrates the artist’s use of materials and mastery of skill in their chosen medium.

Artists are invited to submit up to 3 images that best represent their current artistic practice. Submissions via Submittable only.

All mediums will be considered. (drawing, painting, mixed media, digital/new media, printmaking, photography, ceramics, fiber, glass, sculpture)

Deadline for submission: Friday, July 16th at midnight.
Notification: by Monday, August 2nd
Delivery of accepted work: Monday, August 16th through Friday, August 27th
Exhibition dates: September 1st through 30th
Reception: Scheduled for Friday, September 10th 7-9pm.
Shipment/Pick up of returned work: October 4th through 8th.

Prize Awards:
1st. Place – $500
2nd. Place – $300
3rd. Place – $200

Submission fee is $40 for up to three images of work. One additional image will be accepted for each 3-dimensional piece at no additional cost. Size is limited to 48”
in its largest dimension. All work must be ready to hang. No sawtooth hangers will be accepted.

All work submitted must have been created within the last 3 years and not exhibited at OPAL in the previous 18 months. OPAL reserves the right to reject any accepted work that does not clearly represent or match the submission. Incomplete submissions will not be considered. Submission fees are non-refundable.

All work received, MUST include a prepaid shipping label for return of the work. OPAL will not ship work without this prepaid label.

Judges: Sergio Gomez and Gina Lee Robbins

Sergio Gomez is a Chicago based artist known for his large scale figurative abstraction paintings and drawings reflecting on the cycles of life. Sergio’s work has been the subject of more than 45 solo exhibitions in the United States, Romania, Italy, Mexico and Vienna. He has participated in numerous group exhibitions in Spain, Sweden, Mexico, Austria, Italy, South Korea, England, Kairo, Belgium and the United States. His work is in several private and public collections. In 2018 Sergio was the subject of solo exhibitions at the Museum of the City of Queretaro, Mexico, Museum of the City of Cuernavaca, Mexico, Museum of Art of the City of Cluj, Romania, Museo Internazionale Italia Arte of Turin, Italy and ACS Gallery, Chicago.

Gina Lee Robbins is a visual and teaching artist who has been creating sculptural objects and installations for over 25 years. Largely self-taught, Robbins has been invited to exhibit her work nationwide, in locales such as: the Jack Olson Gallery at Northern Illinois University (Dekalb, IL), University of Wisconsin Union South Gallery (Madison, WI), the Harold Washington Library (Chicago), Ukrainian Institute of Modern Art (Chicago), Wright Museum of Art (Beloit, WI), Bradley University Galleries (Peoria, IL), O/S Projects (Racine, WI), and the Brooklyn Waterfront Artists Coalition (NYC), among others.

Robbins works in a shared ceramics studio and out of her Chicago home. She is a teaching artist for the Oak Park Education Foundation, and Chicago Arts Partnerships in Education and is an active member of Chicago Sculpture International, the International Sculpture Center and Woman Made Gallery.
