35th Annual Photography Show:History and Process
Saturday, January 10 – Sunday, February 8, 2015

EXHIBITION:
This group art show highlights the history of photography as well as the development and evolution of the camera. All subjects and styles will be considered. Noteworthy processes and printing techniques are of particular interest to the jury. Artists should make note of any distinctive presentation of the artwork if applicable, since this is one of the aspects of a piece that will be reviewed. Alongside contemporary photos, the exhibition will include a display of vintage cameras as well as early photographs, such a daguerrotypes and tintypes. Cash prizes include Juror’s Selections and Student categories.

JUROR
The juror is Robert Gurbo, Curator of the Estate of André Kertész and the André and Elizabeth Kertész Foundation.

The mission of the New Canaan Society for the Arts, Inc. is to promote the visual and performing arts, to enrich the community through exhibitions, education, and cultural experiences, and to operate the Carriage Barn Arts Center. Exhibitions, lectures, educational workshops, concerts and other events are held in this adaptively reused historical building on the grounds of a former estate, now Waveny Park.
