Artist Biography
I grew up in Northern New York and currently live and create in St Petersburg FL. I work with soft pastels to create paintings which are are vibrantly colored and playfully nostalgic.
My work attempts to pull out the narrative feel of a childhood snapshot and to draw subtle humor from the eccentric, unfiltered nature of children and animals. My recent exhibition at the Davidson Fine Art Gallery of St. Petersburg Florida was a collection which explored the unvoiced perspectives of the subjects in the paintings and presented incomplete narratives that challenged the viewer to fill in the pieces.
