We will meet right in front of the Irvington Public Library at 12 South Aster Street which is the red brick building directly across the street from the Irvington Train Station. I will be right in front of the library holding up a sign for the photo walk.

Irvington is one of the river towns. We will begin the walk at Scenic Hudson Park which right across the street from the library on the other side of the train station. The park is right on the water and there is a nice view of the Palisades and a view of the Tappan Zee Bridge.

We will then head up Main Street to the Aqueduct. If you love lots of trees you will love the Aqueduct.

On the way we will stop at the Rip Van Winkle Statue which is favorite photo stop for visitors.

We will be doing a lot of walking. The walk on the Aqueduct is a dirt road and several people jog with their dogs. I would suggest wearing comfortable closed shoes or sneakers. It would also be a good idea to bring a bottle of water in case it is very hot.

Driving Directions:

From Interstate 287 exit 9, take Route 9 south for 1.6 miles. At traffic light, turn right on Main Street. (There is a Shell Station and the Irvington Delight Market right on the corner of Main Street.) Continue to end. Right on North Astor Street. Left on Bridge Street. Cross railroad tracks. Follow Bridge Street to the left. Park is on right, past Bridge Street Properties. You can check the Scenic Hudson Park link below for a map.

There is plenty of free parking right at the train station which is right across the street from the Irvington library.

Metro North:

Take the Hudson Line from Grand Central.
