The Modern Riffs is a powerful classic rock, jazz and funk group showcasing high school musicians.The group was founded in 2008 and currently consists of the following Bacon Academy and RHAM musicians:
Bacon: Annie Hageman, trumpet; Dawson Bertrand, alto saxophone; Ethan Puetzer, drums.
RHAM: Erica Day, vocals; Garrett Masotti, keyboard; Joel Earhart, trombone; Liam Calhoun, guitar. It is led by bassist Kim Dubois of Colchester and Bruce Phelps of Marlborough.
