FreshPaintMagazine is pleased to announce an open call for the new international edition, celebrating the art scene in the US and UK. Both emerging and established artists are welcome to apply with works in any medium, with a focus on or reference to painting.

The October 2015 issue will be distributed in London, New York and Philadelphia in select galleries and art centers. Published artists will be promoted through our international digital and print distribution, as well as by extensive exposure through social media.

HOW TO APPLY: Please submit via the entry form for artists on the website.

BASIC REQUIREMENTS:

– images (format: jpeg/tiff; 300 dpi; CMYK; lastname_title.jpeg/tiff; limit for one image: 1Gb)

– docx document with website, written bio, artist statement and image information (title, medium, dimension, year)
note: brief may not contain more than 1300 characters

– £40.00 non-refundable submission fee via PayPal

ELIGIBILITY AND RESTRICTIONS: The competition is open to all artists, both national and international, working in all medias. All forms of painting, drawing, and sculpture are eligible. Applicants must be 18 years of age or older to apply.

PUBLISHING: Winning artists will be be published in the next digital and print issue of FreshPaintMagazine (October 2015). One publication provides a winning artist with two pages of A4 size (two page spread) with three images and bio/statement printed in FreshPaintMagazine issue. Very slight variance in color during printing is common, as color on a computer screen will differ slightly from a printed version. FreshPaintMagazine will be distributed internationally in print and over the internet.

NOTIFICATION: Artists will be notified of acceptance or non-acceptance no later than September 15, 2015. Results will be posted on or before this date at: www.freshpaintmagazine.com. Notification will be made via email and by posting on the results page. All artists who provide a working email address will be notified via email. Type your email address clearly, if a mistake is made you will not be notified.
