Spectrum Gallery and Artisans Store of Centerbrook presents its holiday show: Winter! Its Beauty and Secrets, Nov. 17-Jan. 14. With original artwork that uniquely features views of winter – both its beauty and challenges – the show explores how nature survives and even thrives in the harshest of seasons. A Gallery Reception is Fri, Nov. 17 (6:30-9pm) at 61 Main Street, Centerbrook, CT with food, wine, and the entertainment of Kathy King who plays a 34-string acoustic lever harp, both as a solo instrument and in combination with her voice. The Gallery will display a 7 foot White Holiday Tree adorned with ornaments by local artisans, and on Fri, Dec. 8 (6:30-9pm) hosts a Holiday Body Painting and Ornament Making Event with performance artist Ana Ughetti who transforms a model into a Winter Nymph using body paint and makeup art.

Enjoy wine and desserts and create a fun ornament from upcycled wine corks. $5 general public; Children, Members and Donors free.
