In the 1980’s, Edith Bergstrom became fascinated by the diversity of the palm tree with its more than 1,500 species. She joined the International Palm Society and began collecting the plants herself, focusing on palm trees as works of art. This exhibition of Bergstrom’s watercolor and oil paintings creates a virtual garden of exotic palms. A catalog accompanies this exhibition and is available for purchase through the Butler Museum Store.
