The book is perhaps the most ancient art-form that continues to play a significant role in our lives today. Join book artist Andrew Gaylord for an introduction to the art of bookmaking. You will consider a range of bookmaking styles, then, using methods and tools commonly used to bind manuscripts in the 14th-18th centuries, you will make an octavo book with a long-stitch binding to take home with you.
