An exhibition of paintings and works on paper by artist Sasha December. The art in the exhibition comes from a body of work titled in reference to one of December’s writings: “Like the pull of the moon shaping the tides, we control our destiny. Know it’s effortless nature; it’s the way it’s meant to be. And through self-realization comes an understanding of the harmony of existence.”
December’s subjects are an extension of the girl she fantasized about being in her youth and “the exhausting journey of becoming her.” She was born in New York and received her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles.
