RENO, NV – VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System offers Veterans a chance to demonstrate their artistic talents in the visual arts at the McKinley Arts & Culture Center, Gallery East and West. The local event is part of the 2026 National Veterans Creative Arts Festival. The exhibition will run from July 20 – August 27, 2026.

VA medical facilities incorporate creative arts into their therapy programs to further the rehabilitation goals for both inpatients and outpatients. This annual competition recognizes the progress and recovery made through that therapy and raises the visibility of the creative achievements of Veterans. The first-place winners will advance to the national level where they will compete with entries submitted by Veterans from other VA facilities from across the country.
