The second edition of the TARTGET PAINTING PRIZE is now open—one of the fastest-growing international contemporary painting competitions, recognized for its global reach, strong visibility, and significant awards. Following the success of its first edition, the competition returns in 2026 as a leading cultural platform for artists worldwide.
The competition is open to artists of all techniques, styles, and career stages. Accepted works include figurative, contemporary, abstract, and conceptual art, as well as traditional techniques such as oil, watercolor, and drawing. The call includes multiple categories, major awards, technical prizes, artist residencies, specialized training, acquisition awards, professional art materials, and international promotion.
The official call for Tartget Prize 2026 is now open, positioning itself as one of the most ambitious and internationally projected painting competitions today, with a total prize fund of €90,000. This edition stands as a must-enter opportunity for artists seeking excellence and real visibility.
Finalist artworks will be selected by an international online jury, and a curated selection will be exhibited at the historic Ateneo de Madrid, located just steps from the Prado Museum, within the UNESCO World Heritage site “Landscape of Light.” This venue will host both the final exhibition and the public awards ceremony.

Silver Tartget: €6,000
Bronze Tartget: €4,000
Fusion Tartget (Abstract, Conceptual, Collage): €4,000

4 Artist Residencies: 12 days at Tablas de Daimiel National Park (Spain)
