We all have a happy space, where we feel safe, welcome and nurtured. Whether it’s in the studio, out in nature, or cozied up at home, it’s a place (or person) where we feel the happiest. Artists are asked “where is your happy place?”

Juror: Matteo Caloiaro, is a Florida native and an alumnus of Ringling College of Art and Design. He resides in Sarasota, FL with his wife and fellow artist Brooke Olivares and their two kids Sofia and Santino. Matteo is a painter, commercial artist and full time instructor in the Illustration Department at Ringling College of Art and Design. He works primarily in oil with a conceptual and narrative emphasis on portraying people and places with a sense of gritty realism.
