Marlborough artist Mary Horrigan will be teaching a watercolor class at the Marlborough Arts Center, 231 North Main Street in Marlborough, CT this spring. The class will be held on Thursday mornings, from 10 until Noon, for six weeks, starting April 5, 2018.
Mary Horrigan is an award-winning artist, an elected member of the Connecticut Watercolor Society, and the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts. She is an associate member of the New England Watercolor Society and the American Watercolor Society. She has taught classes not only at the Marlborough Arts Center, but also at Manchester Community College, the Glastonbury Art Guild, with the Middletown Adult Education, and the Guilford Art Center.
She is known for simple shapes, broad, loose washes, and deep rich color. She strives for spontaneity and sparkle, and is a master at bringing out these qualities in her students.
This set of lessons will explore the “Wonders of Watercolor“, and it is suggested that students have a basic knowledge of working in watercolor.
Cost for the class is $120 for the six sessions. To register, please contact Mary Horrigan via email at [email protected]
