Opening Reception for “A Change of Scene” – Sept. Show

Artists' Cooperative Gallery of Westerly

7 Canal St.

A moose raises his head, shaking water drops from velvet antlers. An iridescent porcelain pendant shifts from deep pink to luminous blue. In “A Change of Scene,” work by featured artists John Fast and Nina Briggs reflects shifting seasons and perspectives.

Come meet the artists at the show’s Opening Reception, Friday, Sept. 5, from 5 to 8PM.

John Fast’s wildlife and scenic photography captures moments that might otherwise be lost , from friendly puffins in Maine, to a highly detailed panorama of Old Quebec City. Nina Briggs creates stoneware and hollow porcelain pendants embellished with lustrous glazes and lyrical images sculpted in precious metal clay. Her work reflects nature’s slowly shifting rhythms and colors.
