LUX Center for the Arts is a non-profit organization that provides for new art experiences to suit different ages and interests. They teach art classes in pottery, printmaking, painting, jewelry, glass, and fibers. Classes are held at the art center and are located off-site in a variety of programs. The LUX Center offers exhibitions in two galleries that represent the quality art work of local, regional, and national artists.

The LUX Center is the only organization of its kind in regionally and continues to promote artist in its commitment to community outreach and and artist-in-residence program.

Over 450 fine art prints are displayed in the Gladys M. Lux Historical Gallery. These works are continually on display with information that relates to the history and significance of each piece. Significant artists represented at the gallery include the early and mid twentieth century, including: Guy Pene DuBois, Joseph Hirsch, Dois Emrick Lee, Fletcher Martin, Georges Schreiber, Margurite Zorach, and many others.
