In this two-day workshop, students will experience working en plein air in the beautiful Nixon Garden in Kent, CT. This property, with its flora, rocks, koi pond, pathways, and uncommon collection of specimen trees, has been included in the Garden Conservancy Open Day program for four years.

Participants will be struck by the sweeping views of Lake Waramaug and the Litchfield Hills. Students working in any media can observe the power of Nature’s beauty.

Each student will find a scene that ‘speaks’ to them and, with one-on-one guideance from the instructor, will recreate those images.
