Join us for an exciting conversation with interdisciplinary artist Christine Gaffney whose sculpture and videos in her exhibition Well-Balanced function as intimate self-portraits, reflections on the psyche, and the dualities of female identity. Her work frequently explores the tension between what is publicly revealed and what is privately concealed, often incorporating her own body as a sculptural element to express agency and blur the line between maker and object.
Gain insight into Gaffney’s creative process, material choices, and sources of inspiration. Her practice challenges classical artistic conventions, embracing a raw, honest aesthetic that delves into themes of identity, vulnerability, and the performance of femininity.
