Lisa Redburn
Presented by New York Center for Photographic Art
Lisa is a fine-art photographer who explores the fluid boundaries between real, reflected, and remembered. She uses her camera as a looking glass into evanescent wonderlands, finding layered stories in the puddles of Paris, ponds and bogs, botanica, and the patina of time. This image is from her series of Garden Water Tapestries, an interweaving of floating plant material, reflected light and pattern, and surface texture. In dark and contentious times, Lisa finds that focusing on harmony in the natural world is a solace. And a reminder that light is there if you look for it.
