About Studio C Gallery
Studio C Gallery is dedicated to exhibiting the work of women artists.
We are committed in bringing attention to the feminine characteristics and trademarks
of art making. Studio C creates a space for women artists to be emphasized, by producing one group exhibition and one solo exhibition per season. Each year, the gallery presents exhibitions referring to a theme or a discipline.
Water-Line: Inspiration for Change emphasizes the theme of women and water.
The connection between women and water, has remained an inspiration throughout time, in Art and Literature. This particular connectivity is shown through each artist’s
personal contemplation on water, from environmental influence and change, to the
sublime qualities that raise these questions. It is the intention of this exhibition to explore
the feminine interpretation of water through a wide range of media and style.
Studio C Gallery is located at the Santa Fe Art Colony, in DTLA.
Water-Line will coincide and share the 26th Annual SFAC Open Studios Event.
This studio tour marks the 26th year of SFAC opening it’s studios for the general
public, averaging 2000 visitors. SFAC was established in 1988 and continues to be one of LA’s best venues to see great art, in a unique and intimate setting.
