Able Fine Art NY Gallery is pleased to present “The life that is there” a solo exhibition by Korean artist Kisook Lee. This exhibition will present simplifying the shape of nature and imaged it into a unique form of artist. Here, the deep impression and inspiration that I felt when I saw Buncheong ware (a form of Korean stoneware) became the background and context of her work. Many concerns about Korean aesthetics finally led to self-soulness, and the modern language expressed the rough, simple yet modernized form of the paintings. The repeated act of scraping the Korean paper, applying the base work and the color several times is the time of immersion. The energy that is immersed in oneself for life is conveyed to the screen as it is.
