UNRtists Student Art Club at the University of Nevada, Reno aims to help students engage with art, regardless of major. The club helps facilitate a space where students can come practice art, as well as engage in various artistic media that they may not have had access to before. The club also endeavors to help students connect with the Reno art community and gives students a chance to broaden their horizons outside of the space of their personal art practice.

“Something about Comfort” is about the ubiquitous and disparate ways we think about the word “home.” For many, home can be a physical place. However, for others, it can be a person, feeling, or concept; it can signify loss, memory, and nostalgia. These works aim to unpack the various ways we think about the concept of “home” as something that is a given, in order to go beyond the malleability of a word.
