Sharing the View, a two-woman show from July 1 through 31 in Maple and Main’s Stone Gallery, centers on the work of two long-time and respected gallery artists, Linda DeStefanis of Rocky Hill and Barbara Rossitto of Wethersfield.

A reception for the show is Friday, July 7 from 5 to 8 p.m on the lower level of the gallery when wine and appetizers will be served.

The two artists met at Maple and Main when the gallery first started eight years ago and now, paint together as well as travel around New England looking for inspiration from the natural world.

Often attracted to the same scene, they interpret it differently. Linda paints vibrant landscapes and water views in breathtaking realistic detail. Barbara prefers to capture a ‘feeling’ in a more contemporary impressionistic style.

The opening of Sharing the View falls on First Friday when all the stores, galleries and restaurants in town are open late with special offerings.
