Robin Germany: Sim-Biotic
The Gallery at Penn College
Mar. 17, 2024 - Apr. 23, 2015
Robin Germany’s photographs derive elements from our constructed knowledge of nature and the biological world at its core. In three bodies of photographs, the artist investigates the natural world as it reflects and deflects its human neighbors. Her photographs propose a view of nature with cycles and relationships that are inextricably intertwined with ours and laden with implications for our future. Germany earned her MFA from the University of North Texas, and is an associate professor of photography at Texas Tech University. Her work is included in the collections of The Center for Photography at Woodstock; The Boise Art Museum; and the Center for Creative Photography, Tucson.
