I am presently working on a new body of work referencing music, one of my great passions. The love of my family, gardens and ballet, have always found their way into my work. Now at this stage in my life I decided to formally embrace music in my paintings. As a child I studied the piano for many years. I listened to music while studying at school and always while working in my studio. The rhythm, structure and sounds influence the shapes, color, light, space and texture in this new series. My hope for this new body of work is not only to express the shapes, color, light, space and texture influenced by the rhythm, structure, and sounds of music, but in addition, to imbue strength, power, courage and happiness to all of us everywhere.

Staccato one of the paintings in my new body of work has been chosen to be exhibited at the New Britain Museum of American Art. Staccato is an interactive painting where an ipod is included. I have chosen 2 staccato songs to be heard while viewing the painting.
