Anita I. Johnson, Jean Lightman, and Mary Minife are three accomplished artists who paint in the Boston School tradition. In the lineage of the Guild they studied with Paul Ingbretson, current president of the Guild and master painter-teacher who teaches the
tradition at his studio-school in New Hampshire.

Ms. Johnson, a native of Pennsylvania, studied at the Pennsylvania Academy of Art and in Florence, Italy, before making her way to Boston to study with Mr. Ingbretson.

Ms. Lightman, a Georgia native, began her work with Mr. Ingbretson in 1976 and remained his student for a period of ten years.

Ms. Minifie, a graduate of Wellesley College, graduated with a MFA from Boston University. After traveling and living abroad for ten years she returned to Boston and studied figure and portrait painting with Mr. Ingbretson.

All three artists are elected members of the Board of Managers. Ms. Lightman holds the office of vice-president and Ms. Minifie is the secretary of the board.
