Natural Impressions, a solo exhibit by plein-air and wildlife painter James Coe, will be on view from Nov 4 – 29. An in-depth knowledge of natural history and of ornithology, as well as a deep reverence for the land, informs Coe’s art. A bird skimming a winter field. An isolated farmhouse. Coe’s moody, ethereal landscapes evoke both a sense of longing and of communion. Opening reception with the artist on Saturday, Nov 7, 4:30 – 7:30 p.m. Gallery hours: W-F, Noon – 5 p.m.; Sa-Su, 11:00 – 5 p.m.; and by appointment.
