Viridian Artists presents *Iconic Imaginations*, an exhibition of recent work by Kathleen King, on view from September 29 through October 17, 2026.
King’s work explores the intersection of mythology, psychology, and the subconscious through chimera-like figures that bring together elements of guardians, angels, and demons. These symbolic beings reflect the dualities of human experience—light and shadow, masculine and feminine, strength and vulnerability, and order and chaos.
Influenced by Carl Jung’s exploration of archetypes and the collective unconscious, King’s works invite viewers into an inner landscape where personal meaning and interpretation emerge. The series also echoes the experience of reading tarot cards, encouraging intuition and introspection rather than offering definitive answers. Each work becomes an invitation to pause, reflect, and consider the memories, emotions, and associations that arise in response to these enigmatic figures.
The exhibition opens with a reception on Thursday, October 1, from 6–8 PM, and concludes with a closing reception on Saturday, October 17, from 4–6 PM.
