Morrison Gallery is pleased to announce an exhibition of new bricolage constructions by George-Ann Gowan. The exhibition will open with a reception from 5 – 7 PM on October 18th. George-Ann DeVilbiss Gowan was born in Corpus Christi, Texas in 1948. Her initial art training was at William and Mary, from which she graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Fine Art. In Connecticut, her residence since 1970, she pursued further studies with watercolorist Edgar Whitney and egg tempera artist Richard Carroll. She has recently turned her focus to bricolage, and this exhibition will include works from the past two years.
