Emilio Cavallini’s “Objectual Abstractions”

The Embassy of Italy, the Italian Cultural Institute in Washington D.C., and IA&A at Hillyer are pleased to present artist Emilio Cavallini’s first solo show in Washington D.C. The exhibition, titled “Objectual Abstractions” will be shown in two locations in Washington D.C, from May 4th to May 27, 2018: The Embassy of Italy will feature three large wall sculptures (pictured) from the artist’s series inspired by the 16th century Italian painter Pontorno, on view from Monday through Friday, from 9am to5pm, by appointment.

Spanning over three decade of his career, the exhibition at IA&A at Hillyer is a retrospective featuring twenty of his works, including his best-known series Attuale-Infinito, Biforcazioni, Frattali and Diagrammi. For more information please visit: http://athillyer.org/
