In this exhibition, Edgar’s vision is to delve into the understated elegance of simplicity by working exclusively on paper and utilizing acrylic paint straying from his usual vibrant colorful oil painting. The use of acrylic paint complements this effect by not overwhelming the paper surface.

Edgar says, “By embracing paper as my canvas, I aim to highlight its transient nature and modest presence. This body of work represents another facet of my artist exploration. It is a conscious shift towards exploring the power of restraint and the serenity one can find in simplicity.”

Maggie Stewart is a sculptor who effortlessly evolves into an installation artist, her work expands to create immersive environments that invite exploration. She is a collector and alchemist
combining diverse elements and inspiration to tell stories. Her artwork is a mixture of mediums, textures, and symbols, and ephemera, it is a reflection of her continual experiments and relentless curiosity. This installation is a diary entry of Maggie’s creative process and imagination.

Maggie says, “My work is a constant collaboration with my husband, Michael Cousins, whose unwavering support and co-creation make every project a shared journey. Together, our partnership breathes life into each installation, blending our imaginations into evocative
and explorative environments.”

Baltazar’s subject matter tends to be those fragmentary images that reside within his thoughts. Thoughts of his relationship with his culture, race and how figures interplay with those thoughts, For him, these carvings are about the pleasure of seeing what stone, wood or clay offers to his hands.
