Founded in 1892 at the Carnegie Public Library the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth has developed a sizable collection of permanent works. The museum holdings are a superstar gathering of artists’ works including Picasso, Josef Albers, Carl Andre, Francis Bacon, Robert Motherwell, Milton Avery, Stephan Balkenhol, Cynthia Brants, Philip Guston, Anselm Kiefer and much more.

By the end of 2002 the the museum out grew its space and developed a new space “second in size only to the MOMA.” Strengths of the collections include Pop Art, New York School, Surrealism an 20th Century Art.
