Meet artist Sophie Sanders at the opening reception for her latest exhibition, “Perfect Hue”.

Sophie says, “In painting, I am continually searching for the perfect hue. Color is emotional, physical, and relational, shaping the figure and the space around it. My oil paintings use vivid, layered color to create environments that hold and frame the body.”
“Cyanotype offers a different relationship to color. Its Prussian blue invites exploration through transparency, layering, and value, becoming water, atmosphere, and light. Across both bodies of work, I use color to explore how we inhabit space and how it can surround us, alter our perception, and give visible form to sensation.”
