Learn how to felt a cozy, long lasting home made pair of slippers.   Just like in the felted vessel class, we will use a resist form (a resist is used in felting to make three dimensional objects from a flat pattern).  We’ll cut out a shape based on your own foot size to felt a pair of one of a kind slippers, clogs, or booties.  These can be adorned with various luxury fibers, yarns and fabrics.  You’ll never buy slippers again!.

Skill level: advanced beginner

Local artisan, Justine Moody, has had a passion for working with fibers and clay since the day she discovered handcrafting. She is a fine art graduate from Pratt Institute and for over 10 years, owned a bright and bustling studio that nurtured the creativity of others by introducing them to two of her favorite mediums. Over the past few years however, Justine has focused her work on the grounding techniques of traditional wet felting using natural fibers and hand dyed fabrics. Justine’s current work consists of both non-functional three-dimensional pieces as well as an ethereal collection of nuno felted wearable art pieces and tapestries.
