Please join the Gallery and Library Departments for a public reading and book signing from Montserrat Faculty and Author, Charles Boyer. Boyer will be reading from his latest novel “History’s Child” in Montserra’ts Paul M. Scott Library.

Charles has been teaching at Montserrat since 1988. A fiction writer and poet, he has published poems and short stories in a number of literary magazines, including The Larcom Review, The New Kent Quarterly, and Spoon River Quarterly. His novel, History’s Child, was winner of the Association of Writers and Writing Programs (AWP) Novel Award for 2014, and will be published by New Issues Press in January, 2016.

He has received writing grants and fellowships from the Wisconsin Arts Board and the New Hampshire State Council on the Arts. He has taught at the University of New Hampshire and Northeastern University, and has taught the Journal Writing Seminar at Montserrat’s summer program in Viterbo, Italy since 1998. His chapbook of poetry, The Mockingbird Puzzle, is published by Finishing Line Press.
