CAA Guest Artist Speaker: Alaina Enslen

Join CAA on Zoom this Friday, January 24, 11-1pm (PDT), 2-4pm (EDT) for an online presentation by Alaina Enslen (1977 Oscoda, Michigan).

Enslen holds a BFA from the University of Montevallo. She currently resides in the Hudson Valley, New York, and has been painting and teaching for over twenty years. Her work has been described as “part artifact, part event, [as] she emancipates a fixed past with a limitless present” (Art Spiel). Her work has been published by the Paul W. Bryant Museum and in Chiricu journal (Indiana University Press).

Enslen is a Certified Instructor for R&F Handmade Paints and a Freelance Educator at the Garrison Art Center and Storm King Art Center in New York. She has taught workshops and given presentations in the U.S., Portugal, and Brazil. Enslen is represented by Carrie Haddad Gallery in Hudson, New York.

CAA’s membership includes art instructors, professional artists who exhibit widely, mid-career and beginning artists, art students and those who have an interest in and love for the art of collage.

CAA holds general meetings five times a year in which stimulating programs are presented by guest artists renowned for their work in collage and assemblage.

Member juried exhibits are mounted annually at venues ranging from galleries and museums to online and alternative spaces.

In addition to meetings and exhibits, CAA offers workshops, newsletters, studio visits and special events.
